It was a successful day at UIL Solo & Ensemble in Smithville! We are super proud of these kids for bringing home all Division 1 & 2 ratings. Seven soloists, a twirler, and 6 brass ensemble members earned 1st division medals. Leianne qualified for State, as well as our brass ensemble. They will be performing Memorial weekend! Congratulations, Tiger Band musicians! 🎶

Kinder practiced letter sounds & word reading with a game of Headbandz! We read CVC patterns, high frequency words, and words with digraphs.

All, if your child rides the bus this afternoon, please be aware that he/she might be a little late due to the train blocking the tracks. Sorry for any inconvenience this might cause.

Shoutout to these FFA members that built this bbq smoker over the last couple of weeks. These boys utilized modern technologies to build this bbq pit by using the new CNC plasma cutter to make custom hinges and handles. We plan to keep this bbq pit at the school to cook for FFA meetings and other events throughout the school year.
Special thanks to Abear Commercial Services for donating the majority of the metal for this project!
