High School Counselor's Corner

Welcome to Thrall High School Counseling Services!

The 2024-2025 school year will be my sixth year in Thrall ISD and my fifth year at Thrall High School. I am looking forward to another year of helping our students with any of their counseling needs including (but not limited to) social-emotional needs, academic needs, CCMR (College, Career, Military Readiness), scholarships, career investigation, and more. Please encourage your students to reach out to me when they need help in any way!

All About Me!

I am starting my 19th year in education. I have worked with every grade level PK-12th and I have taught Science, ELAR, PE, and coached tennis, volleyball, basketball, and track. I was an Assistant Principal for 3 years and am starting my eighth year as a counselor.

I am married and have two daughters. I have a daughter who will be a Senior at Thrall High School and a daughter who will be a Freshman at Thrall High School. My husband is a teacher and a coach at Thrall Middle and Thrall High School.

I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology from Texas Christian University. I have a Master's Degree from Texas Tech University in Educational Leadership where I earned my Principal certification. I also completed my Counseling certification and Superintendent certification through Angelo State University.

When a student comes to see the School Counselor, what is said in my office is confidential and will be kept between myself and the student. This means that what is said in my office stays in my office, unless...you want to hurt yourself, you want to hurt somebody else, or someone is hurting you.

USE THIS FORM for schedule change requests (requests made by email/phone will not be processed). You will receive an email or communication once the change has been processed or if it has been rejected including the reason for rejection.

Dual Credit Course Information

Fall and Spring Applications and Registrations are completed the prior semester. Students in these courses will receive emails and meet with me individually in order to complete this.

The Fall 2024 Semester starts Wednesday August 21st.

These courses are taken at Temple College Taylor or Temple College Hutto.

Thrall ISD will cover the cost of tuition. Stipulations apply.

These courses are 100% online and students are given a class period during the school day.

Thrall ISD will cover the cost of tuition. Stipulations apply.

OnRamps

Fall and Spring Registrations are completed in the high school section of each course at the start of each semester.

At the end of each semester, the high school teacher assists the students as they accept or decline credit for these courses.

These courses are taught at Thrall High School by one of our teachers as well as by a UT professor; therefore, they start on the first day of school (August 14th).

Thrall ISD will cover the cost of tuition. Stipulations apply.
