On Jan. 24, all sophomores will be taking the Career Exploration portion of the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery). This test is used to assess academic ability and predict success in a wide variety of occupations. The ASVAB Career Exploration Guide they will receive after testing can help them identify occupations in line with their interests and skills and provide resources for exploring potentially satisfying careers.
Sophomores can only be given the test for Career Exploration. Their scores and information cannot and will not be released to recruiters.
Students in other grade levels who would like to take the ASVAB are welcome to sign up and take it. Juniors and Seniors will be allowed the option of releasing their information to recruiters if they would like to.

Tomorrow morning, Thursday January 18th, the contractor will be pouring the concrete slab for the new elementary. You will see concrete trucks in front of the schools, Bounds Street, and on Thrall ISD property during morning student drop off. Thrall ISD appreciates your patience with the increased traffic.
Thrall ISD's Gifted and Talented nomination window is now open through January 31st. Complete the attached Google Form if you wish to nominate a child for GT testing. If your student is already identified as a GT student, you do not need to nominate them again. Thank you!

Tomorrow evening at 6:30pm in the middle school cafeteria, our middle school One Act Play cast/crew will be putting on a FREE public performance of their competition show, 10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse. Come out and cheer on these young thespians!
Thrall ISD has issued a 2-hour delayed start for Tuesday, Jan. 16 and will continue to monitor weather conditions for any changes. School begins at 10:00 am, buses will run approximately 2 hours later than normal, and breakfast will not be served.
Drive safely, watching for icy conditions, and dress warmly for near zero temperature conditions.

Congrats to our CX debate team for taking 3rd place at the Cedar Ridge Invitational! They went 2-1 against some tough opponents.
