TISD is proud to recognize staff members who have gone above and beyond what is required of them each six weeks during the school year. TCEF has donated funds to Thrall ISD so these well deserving staff members can add to their Tiger Gear collection, and Practically Purple has also created special plaques to recognize their great contribution.

Congratulations to the following staff members:

Thrall Elementary School: Jan Rinderknecht

Thrall Middle School: Alicia Wise

Thrall High School: Megan Storms

Thrall ISD: Esther Granados

Elementary School: Jan Rinderknecht
The Elementary spotlight is on Jan Rinderknecht! She is the total package! Her classroom management is stellar because of her kindness and consistency. Student data continues to show that Mrs. Rinderknecht’s 3rd grade ELAR instruction is relevant and rigorous. However, students and staff agree that what shines brightest is her giving heart and her constant smile.   –Sherri Maruska, Elementary School Principal

Middle School: Alicia Wise
Mrs. Alicia Wise is Thrall Middle School's Staff Spotlight for the second six weeks! Mrs. Wise is an exceptional math teacher who establishes high academic standards for her students. Repeatedly student data shows that they are retaining and gaining math knowledge at the mastery level. She is skilled at using questions that provoke thought and discussion during a lesson. Her willingness to step in where needed is noticed and appreciated! We love how she enthusiastically participates in dress-up days to show her school spirit! –Kim Luton, Middle School Principal

High School: Megan Storms
Coming in new is never easy, especially when you assume a leadership role. The start of Megan Storms' volleyball season in tandem with getting to know our kids as she creates her culture and vision of excellence has been substantial. All while simultaneously teaching two new (to her) preps, in a brand new pathway of study for Thrall HS, in one of our flexible classrooms (aka Varsity Boys Locker Room) has earned her the High School's second six weeks staff spotlight. Coach Storms has demonstrated poise, grace and a deep desire to be exceptional both athletically and instructionally in the classroom. She has probably shed a number of tears at home, but when she comes to work and what she brings to her girls is confidence, service and passion. She models what it means to do the little behind the scenes things and big public things with the utmost care and precision. I am grateful to have her on my campus and leading our girls' programs. – Nicole Tindol, High School Principal

District: Esther Granados
Esther Granados from the Nutrition team is the District wide staff spotlight for the second six weeks. She is such a great person, works very hard, comes in early to help if needed, has such a positive attitude, and overall is a great employee! I could go on and on singing her praises but that would take all day and then some. – Mary Salazar, Food Service Manager
